Holly Nixon, founder & principal of NXN Studio, is a strategic design leader with over two decades of international experience spanning hospitality, multifamily, lifestyle, and large-scale retail interiors. Known for her approachable and calm presence, collaborative approach, and ability to lead complex projects from vision to completion, she brings both creative clarity and operational strength to every team and client she works with.

Born in London, raised in Sydney, and now based in South Florida, Holly's design journey began early — sketching floor plans, reimagining spaces, and building them out of LEGO before she even knew interior design was a profession. After studying design formally, she began her career at Buchan in Sydney, one of Australia’s leading architecture and design firms. There, she helped deliver large-scale retail destinations across the Asia-Pacific region and developed her foundational approach to narrative-led, multidisciplinary design — years before “storytelling” became the industry buzzword it is today.

Eager to expand her horizons, Holly moved to Las Vegas in 2012, where she led interior design for some of the city's most dynamic hospitality spaces — including integrated casino resorts, destination dining, nightlife venues, and the flagship Top Golf Las Vegas. Her strength in both concept development and delivery made her a go-to leader for clients seeking not only memorable design, but also a seamless and professional process. At Steelman Partners, she worked on both local and international projects, including Corona Resort and Casino in Phu Quoc, Vietnam, which led her to spend time in Macau collaborating with the firm’s Asia-based design team on the development of high-limit and VIP gaming areas, multiple F&B venues, and VIP suites and guestrooms.

In 2018, she relocated to West Palm Beach to join V Starr, Venus Williams’ owned design studio, as Design Director, where she helped reposition the company from a multifamily-focused studio to a recognized player in the hospitality space. Under her leadership, the studio delivered its first major hospitality project — The Spa at The PGA National Resort — and its first international project at The Condado Palm Inn in San Juan, Puerto Rico, renovating the guestrooms and corridors, earning the property a conversion to a Tapestry Collection by Hilton. She played a pivotal role in mentoring talent, implementing systems, and raising the firm's visibility through award-winning work.

In 2024, Holly was recruited by award winning design firm, KTGY as Associate Principal to lead the firm’s expansion and presence in the Florida and the Caribbean region. Working remotely with teams in Chicago and DC, she was a key company leader in both design leadership and business development across a range of multifamily and hospitality projects.

Often described as a unicorn for her rare blend of design expertise, business acumen, and people leadership, Holly is deeply passionate and committed to shifting the culture of the design industry. After experiencing burnout early in her career, she’s been intentional about modeling a better way — proving that with the right systems, mindset, and people, it’s possible to do great work, with great people, and have a great time doing it.

Holly received her academic training in interior design at TAFE NSW Design Centre Enmore (DCE) in Sydney, Australia.
